PREPARATION
The Toasties are pre-cookect and can be prepared in various ways.
You can heat them on a frying pan, toaster, or oven.
For a crispy result:
- Use a slotted pizza tray or place them on baking paper.
- Bake them for 5 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 degrees centigrade.
- Top it and further bake for another 3 minutes.
Note: Because of high-veg content, no grain or gluten - the product is naturally moist. Please handle with care.

STORAGE
We are avoiding the use of plastic where possible. The compostable packaging we use is expensive but we rather use that than plastic. Caulito Pizza & Toasties are delivered to you in Biodegradable packaging - they are not seal packed. Once you receive the product, put them in an airtight container in the fridge and eat within 3-5 days. If you are not using the product within a week's time, store it in your freezer and use as need be. They can be stored in the freezer for a good 6 months, so no problem!

Are Caulito Pizza Crusts & Toasties packed in a plastic bag?No! As part of our corporate philosophy, we pride ourselves on being chemical free. One way to achieve this is by using a bag made from sustainable wood pulp. They are 100% compostable and biodegradable in the sea. See Biodegradable Packaging for more information.
How do I store my Pizza Crust & Toasties after receiving them? (online purchases)
Storage: All Caulito products must be kept in the refrigerator. Once received, keep your packets in the refrigerator and consume within 3-5 days of opening. Alternatively, you can freeze your pizza crust and toasties and eat as you please. The product can be frozen for 4-6 months. Please note the information and the best-before date on the packaging.
My ice pack wasn't frozen, the bread is still fine?
Yes, the bread is still perfectly fine. The cold pack will be thawed when it gets to you. We only insert the ice packs to keep the product colder for 3 days during transit, but it will not arrive to you frozen.

Is your bread gluten free?Yes, all the ingredients we use in our bread are gluten free and it is naturally gluten free.
What does "grain free" mean?Grain-free means our bread does not contain any grains (rice, oats, etc.) found in most gluten-free breads. It also fits into a keto/paleo/anti-inflammatory diet.
Why are pizza crusts and toasties so expensive?
All our product is completely handmade in Leipzig. Our ingredients are sourced as locally as possible, as we want to contribute towards local businesses and farmers. When you support us, you are supporting various other small businesses.
Also - our ingredients are premium quality superfoods that are wholesome and nutritious. Most gluten-free breads use soy flour, potato flour, or tapioca flour - all easier and cheaper ways to make gluten-free dough. We wanted to go the extra mile to find the right blend of high-quality products to bring you a product that is guaranteed to be of a high standard. We didn't want to take shortcuts and make an inferior product with cheaper ingredients. We also make our pizzas and toasties round, which is more difficult and takes more time. Because we believe that pizza is never a rectangle!
Does your bread contain fiber and protein?Yes, our vegan product is very high in fiber and the vegetarian version is high in protein. Please refer to the product details on the product packaging for more information.
What is the difference between vegan and vegetarian bread?Caulito offers 2 types of low carb flavors suitable for a large group of people. The main difference between the two is the use of eggs and cheese in the vegetarian version, while the vegan version contains neither eggs nor cheese. Is your bread keto friendly?Yes, our pizza bases and toasties are 100% keto friendly. Our products are a perfect bread substitute when on a keto diet. They don't contain grains like brown rice flour, which is found in many gluten-free breads. It also contains no refined sugar. It's very low in carbohydrates. See the nutritional information on the pack for more details.
Is your bread organic? All of our ingredients are organic. We have applied for formal accreditation so that we can officially call ourselves "BIO". Please wait for this announcement in the coming months.
Do your Pizza Crusts & Toasties contain soy? No, it does not contain soy flour.
Where does the sugar in the product come from?We don't add any sugar. The sugar comes from the natural ingredients that we add.
What does free-from product mean?Our products are Free-From all kinds of GMO/Additives/Fillers/Sugar. We don’t believe in shortcuts and that’s why we have made a very lean and clean product.

Can I change my subscription quantities and reoccurring shipment date?
We have made this very easy. Just login to your account and change your ordering preferences.
Can I cancel my subscription order the day it goes through?
Once your order has gone through, unfortunately you cannot cancel. You can always access your account and adjust your order date.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Of course! We are sad to see you go but there is no commitment subscription as long as you cancel 24 hours in advance of the delivery day. Just go into your account and cancel.
