Our Story
Caulito, a woman-led startup from Leipzig, was founded with the mission to offer healthy bread alternatives that are not only nutritious but also delicious. The pizza crusts and toasties are high in protein, fiber and low in carbohydrates. They are so versatile that they can be enjoyed at any time of the day, whether as a main meal or as a snack.
Meet the Founder
Hello, my name is Fareena and I am the founder of Caulito. I moved to Germany from Australia a few years ago and during that time I was diagnosed with various types of health issues that forced me to rethink my diet and eat better. In my quest for natural healing, I discovered the healing power of anti-inflammatory foods and a low-carbohydrate diet. Eating this way meant giving up many foods, including one I really loved: bread. And let's be honest - who can deny the conveniece of bread with almost every meal! Unable to find anything on the market that would accommodate my restricted diet while still tasting good, I decided to develop my own recipe. It took me a year to perfect it and now I'm so excited to share it with you!
At Caulito, we strive to be environmentally friendly. Particular attention is paid to reducing food waste and eating more vegetables. Throughout our production cycle, we focus on waste reduction, reuse and recycling. It was very important to me that Caulito's packaging is ecological, non-toxic, BPA-free and 100% industrial biodegradable.
With this start-up I also want to support women and children in underprivileged communities. A portion of the proceeds goes to helping others. Enjoy your comfort food - gluten and grain free. And certainly without guilt!

The vegetarian range consists of more than 67% cauliflower, with cheese, eggs and Italian herbs as other main ingredients. Enjoy them straight from the bag as an alternative to your daily bread, or simply warm them up in a toaster or in the oven for a crunchy experience.

The vegan range consists of 57% cauliflower as well as linseed, sunflower seeds, chia seeds and psyllium husks as other main ingredients. These toasties are the perfect low-carb base for your next gluten-free, grain-free sandwich, burger, or taco.

100% Industrial biodegradable packaging
Finding the perfect packaging is a real challenge for a startup. Great effort went into ensuring that we do not compromise on product quality despite the choice of ecological packaging. To this end, we have now teamed up with a specialist in ecological food packaging. We are proud to use certified 100% Industrial biodegradable and non-GMO packaging for all online deliveries. The compostable films used to manufacture the packaging are made from pulp from sustainable forestry. So you can buy Caulito products without a guilty conscience!
